The KPU library was founded in 1968 by the Federal
Republic of Russia. It was stocked with the latest editions of Russian
technical books including text books, reference books and journals. And
by the constant hard work of the professors within this university,
almost all of the books were translated into Afghanistan's native
languages: Dari and Pashto.
During the last two decades of war the KPU library
was destroyed. AS we all know that the war had a negative impact in all
aspects of our lives especially the basic infrastructure i.e economical,
educational, technical, social and cultural infrastructures.
Is to provide quality of books collection and access to those
collections and support the university goals for learning, teaching and
research. The library team is responsible for coordination and expansion
of the book collection development program and allocation of budget.
Gifts and highly appreciated cash contributions of any amount are
welcomed as it will support the purchase of new books, developing KPU
library resources.
Currently the library is administered by the director
of the library, one librarian, two staff members and one laborer.
